New Documentary on Muhammad and Islam - VIDEO

'Through the Lens of Muhammad's Life' by William DiPuccio, presents a clear and straightforward survey of Islam.

Suitable for viewing and sharing with any age group from mid-teens and older, this professionally produced video benefits from a sober, academic presentation style devoid of polemics or agenda. Rather, it's agenda is to present the truth about Islam and Muhammad from Islam's own primary sources, yet without obscuring the unpleasant facts about the founder of Islam.

A seven page, descriptive chronology of Muhammad’s life is also available with the video.

This documentary (and the supplemental chronology) is a serious teaching tool which can also be shared with Muslims, many of whom may not have been given the full picture Muhammad's life, actions, and directives. Seeing Islam through the lens of Muhammad's life is essential for anyone seeking to understand Islam in the 21st century.

As I watched this video, I was struck by how, without ever stating it, Bill DiPuccio manages to perfectly convey the truth of Jesus Christ's words:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." (Matthew 7:15-19)

Clearly, at the end of the age, when the Lord Jesus Christ returns in glory, Islam will be "cut down and thrown into the fire" along with all the other bad trees. We must discipline ourselves to love and pray for our Muslim neighbors to have their eyes opened through worthy efforts such as this video, that they may be delivered from the spell of their false prophet and false god, and be received into Christ's Church before His awesome Second Coming. Amen!

A New Documentary on Muhammad and Islamic Doctrine

I hold a Ph.D. in Religious Studies and produce educational videos at Kinetoscope microProductions. I have also published with the Gatestone Institute. I just completed work on a video titled, “Through the Lens of Muhammad’s Life: How the Example and Teachings of Muhammad Shape Islam Today.”

This non-confrontational documentary presents a fair and respectful treatment of Islam, but without sugarcoating the facts. This approach, I believe, will enable us to reach a wider audience.

For the vast majority of Muslims, the example and teachings of Muhammad are the final authority for Islamic beliefs, practices, and interpretation of the Quran. This documentary traces the origin of modern Islamic doctrines and practices from the life of Muhammad himself. It also explains some of the apparent contradictions we find in Islam (e.g., between peace and the use of violence), and will enable viewers to better judge the legitimacy of assertions made by Muslims and Islamic groups who claim to represent “true Islam.”

Topics covered (43 minutes):

1. Muhammad’s Authority

2. From Peaceful Persuasion to Violent Extremism

3. Magnanimity, Generosity, and Mercy

4. Jihad (Holy War) for the Cause of Islam

5. Jews, Christians, and Pagans Under Islam

6. The Roots of Jewish Hatred

7. Marriage and Women

8. Slavery in Islam

9. The Enigmatic Muhammad

This video was produced as a voluntary, non-profit, project. It is released to the public at no charge. You can view it in HD on our YouTube channel @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC90TGuU8hHLVWW2VuFQDikg
